People Managers

Teams that focus on their Strengths have an increase of 11.5% in productivity.  Isn’t that something that all managers would like to see? While part of this increase can come from the direct reports, this can be further heightened by what the manager does.

Many people managers act as a both a player and a coach. Ready Aim → Impact has activities designed to help managers develop themselves and as leader of teams.

Overview

Managing others is a skill itself and one that can be developed with focus and precision. Managing a team can be a difficult activity, as managers need to know each individual person, what motivates them to be productive, find ways to engage them and do what’s best for the team as it achieves its objectives. It all starts with understanding yourself and how you lead.

Choosing the appropriate assessment, coaching and workshops provide you with the information that you need to be successful.

Strengths-Based Development

Managers have the ability to participate in workshops for everyone (Foundations of Strengths) and specifically for them as managers (Leading with Strengths).  These programs are offered as stand-alone or can be combined with other corporate initiatives.  If the team has participated in a Strength-Based program, additional programs such as Teaming with Strengths, can be conducted to keep the verbiage of Strengths alive and ensures that individuals continue to leverage their Strengths and those of others.  Click here to learn more about the Strengths-Based Development Workshops.

A Situational Approach to Leadership

The Situational Approach to Leadership Workshop teaches People Managers how to diagnose their Direct Report’s competence and commitment to improve the support they provide.   The result is a better matching of leadership style to ensure that Direct Report’s success.  Most leaders only rely on one leadership style which may not result in maximum effectivenss. Team Effectiveness Survey/Action Plan

Team Effectiveness Survey (TES) is a tool which provides an objective method to gauge the team’s effectiveness around productivity and culture.  Once the assessment is completed, the leader is provided with an overview and then the team meets to debrief and prepare the action plan.  Click here to learn more about the Talent Effectiveness Survey.
